you, as a visitor to the Website – and, where applicable, also as our customer or applicant – about the
type, scope and purpose of the collection, storage and use (hereinafter collectively referred to as “processing”) of personal data when using the Website.

Personal data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, such as name, address, telephone number, email address, date/place of birth, gender, online user behavior (hereinafter collectively referred to as “data”).

Information for ApplicantsThe provision of personal data is neither legally nor contractually required, nor are you obliged to provide personal data. However, the provision of personal data is necessary for conducting the application process. This means that if you do not provide personal data as part of an application, we will not be able to process your application.
There is no automated decision-making within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR; in particular, the decision regarding your application is not based solely on automated processing.

2. What Data Is Processed?When you contact us by email, the data you provide (your email address and name) will be stored by us in order to respond to your inquiry. The data collected in this context will be deleted once storage is no longer required, or processing will be restricted if statutory retention obligations apply.
If we use commissioned service providers for individual functions of our services or intend to use your data for marketing purposes, we will inform you in detail below about the respective processes and the applicable storage periods.
2.1 Data Provided by YouWe collect and store the following data if you provide it to us (e.g. by email or via our contact form):
- Your contact details (name, address, telephone number, email address, gender)
For applicants in particular:- Application data including personal details (name, address, date of birth, contact details, qualification data)
- Employment references with address, performance and assessment data
- Certificates with address, performance and assessment data
- Publicly available, career-related data, such as profiles on professional social media networks
2.2 Data Collected When Visiting the WebsiteWhen you access the Website, information is automatically transmitted by the browser used on your device to the Website server. This information is temporarily stored in a so-called log file.
The following information is collected automatically and stored until it is deleted automatically:
- IP address of the requesting device
- Date and time of access
- Name and URL of the retrieved file
- Website from which access is made (referrer URL)
- Browser used and operating system of your device
- Name of your internet service provider
3. For What Purpose Is the Data Processed?Data processing is carried out for the following purposes:

- Processing your application (for applicants)
- Invoicing
- Providing information you have requested
- Ensuring a smooth connection to the Website
- Ensuring a user-friendly Website experience
- Evaluating system security and stability
- Further administrative purposes
The legal basis for data processing is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest arises from the purposes listed above.
For applicants:Personal data of applicants may be processed for purposes of the application procedure if this is necessary for deciding on the establishment of an employment relationship.
If an employment relationship is established, we may further process personal data in accordance with § 26(1) German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), insofar as this is necessary for the execution or termination of the employment relationship or for fulfilling legal obligations.
Where processing is based on consent, the voluntariness of consent is assessed in particular in light of the dependency situation in the application process. You may withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal.
Newsletter and Marketing EmailsIf you are a customer and have given your consent, we may use your email address for our own marketing purposes, such as sending newsletters. Newsletter registration follows a double opt-in procedure.
You may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time, free of charge. Each newsletter contains an unsubscribe link. You may also withdraw consent by email, post or telephone using the contact details in section 1.
4. How Secure Are Your Data? How Are They Stored?4.1 Data SecurityWe use the SSL encryption method (Secure Socket Layer) with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser (usually 256-bit). If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, 128-bit encryption is used instead.
We also implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or unauthorized access.
4.2 Data StorageYour data is stored partly in physical files (paper) and partly electronically. Electronic data is secured using dual encryption based on asymmetric RSA and symmetric AES-256 encryption.
Access to our IT systems is restricted to authorized persons via personal authentication. Employees and service providers with access to personal data are contractually bound to confidentiality.
Regular, encrypted backups are performed and stored separately to ensure data recovery in case of fire or water damage.

Your data will only be disclosed to third parties if:
- you have given explicit consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR),
- disclosure is necessary for legal claims (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR),
- there is a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR), or
- disclosure is required for contract performance (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Recipients may include:
- legal advisors, tax consultants and accounting service providers.
6. Transfer of Data to Third CountriesYour data is transferred to Switzerland (registered office of TLS-Cargo GmbH).
No transfer to other third countries is intended.
7. How Long Is Data Stored?Data is stored for as long as required by statutory retention obligations.
Customer-related data: 10 years
Invoices: 10 years
Applicant data: generally deleted within 6 months after completion of the application process, unless consent for longer storage has been given or retention is required for legal defense.
